The sudden closure of ATS Euromaster in Crowborough was because it was not profitable, according to the company.
Crowborough News contact ATS Euromaster when numerous people expressed surprise that the Church Road garage shut its doors recently, apparently without any announcement or warning.
Asked by Crowborough News why the centre had been shut, a spokesperson said: “There is over capacity in the UK automotive sector and, together with increasing costs and sluggish activity and growth, we have been reviewing our operating model and are closing our non-profitable centres.”
The company didn’t comment on why this had happened suddenly but did insist: “This will not impact the high quality services we provide our customers.” Staff affected by the closure were being provided with “the best level of support as possible”, the spokesperson added.
Euromaster added that the review would enable it to develop the ATS mobile capacity and also a new franchise model, already successfully introduced in other countries.
