The arrest of a Crowborough individual for assault was one of 16 made by police across the Wealden district last week.

As well as the Crowborough incident, there were also assault arrests in Hailsham, Polegate, and Forest Row.

Officers reported that five drivers were also arrested – one for driving whilst disqualified in Maresfield, three for drink driving in Hailsham, Horam and Hellingly, and one for drug driving in Polegate.

Other offences that led to arrests included possession of a class A drug, criminal damage, theft of a motor vehicle, and GBH.
