The owner of family postcards sent home to Crowborough by a soldier in the first world war is trying to reunite them with the family.
Gus Lindsay has contacted Crowborough News keen to track down any relatives of Arthur and Gladys (Page?) which were sent home from the front by Arthur to their home address at Brooklands Cottages in St John’s.
Mr Lindsay, who lives in Stirling in Scotland, said he bought the seven postcards on eBay 20 years ago. “I forgot I had them until they fell from a book the other day. They were sent from the front to St John’s, Crowborough between 1915-1919 from a soldier called Arthur.”
He has tried using social media and the local history group to try tracking the family down but without success.
“I’m happy to post them and I don’t want anything for them, it would just be good to get them back where they belong.”
